Who we are
"The sequence of Guicciardi houses, along the street of the same name, takes us back to the sixteenth century. The old papers in the family archive speak of a Guicciardo, who crossed the Alps with Charlemagne in June 773...he married in Ponte and there he took up residence."
The house overlooking Via Chiuro is the first and oldest.
After more than forty years of abandonment and decay, the current owner, son of Maria Vittoria, the last descendant of the "Enrichi" branch, together with his wife Laura, oversaw the recovery and restoration of the roof, the facades, the ground floor, the courtyards, in strict compliance with the original architecture.
During the works the discovery of the rich frescoed cycles that crown the rooms on the first floor.
The ancient granary has also been renovated, connected by a glorietta that digs the road from the main building, which has become a delightful apartment with character.
The recovery and restoration still continues, also with your contribution.
